Your responsibilities

At the meeting places, we focus on preventive activities that stimulate seniors' physical and intellectual abilities. The purpose of the meeting places is to counteract or break loneliness and isolation, as well as to offer activities that prevent premature aging and provide the opportunity for an independent life well into old age.

We work based on the four cornerstones of health for successful aging:
- Social community

- Good eating habits
- Meaningful existence

As an activity coordinator at the municipality's senior meeting places, you, along with your colleagues, belong to the Preventive Unit within the Care Office. Other activities within the Preventive Unit include the Team for Safe and Secure Homecoming, Outreach Workers for the Elderly, Family Consultants, and Fixing Services for the Elderly.
Together, we work to meet the challenges of the future through preventive and health-promoting long-term efforts.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who wants to help drive the meeting places forward based on the long-term plan of the elderly care committee and currently wants to expand the operations with one person as we have exciting projects underway. Your role as an activity coordinator is to plan, lead, and follow up on both physical and social activities in a selling, enthusiastic, and motivating way. You will lead activities at our three meeting places in Södertälje city but also, if necessary, in mobile operations at other locations in the municipality. You have a pleasant hosting attitude towards our visitors and do not mind working in the cafeteria where we sell snacks and light lunches.

- You have good collaboration skills and also enjoy working independently.

- In your role, it is required that you have good structure and are quality-conscious.

Requirements:
- We are looking for someone with a university degree as a health educator or equivalent education.
- You have previously worked with seniors based on a health-promoting approach.
- You have experience leading activities.
- You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
- You have good computer skills.
- You have a B driver's license.

Meritorious:
- It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of marketing and communication.
- It is also advantageous if you are multilingual.

As an activity coordinator, you will be offered a developing and interesting assignment with good opportunities for professional development. You have annual working hours, and the working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday during the day, although evenings and weekends may occasionally occur.
